Traveling for 9 hours in a car on a rough road with oncoming and overtaking cars followed by 12 hours of transits in four airports in three different countries is not really my idea of a relaxing trip. We were relieved to finally arrive in Siem Reap, Cambodia around 2 this afternoon. Our small boutique hotel has been a good place to unwind and catch a little bit of sleep (ok i felt it incumbent on me to help support the locals by getting a thai massage too---only $15, can you blame me?) We have already found the Cambodian people to be friendly and welcoming. And I'm already impressed that the roads are in great shape!
