Agra Culture

Agra, home of the Taj Mahal, is often referred to as the city of love which has bred a culture of love. Shah Jahan built this mausoleum as a tribute to his wife who died at the age of 38 after giving birth to their 14th child. His love for her was so great that he wanted to commemorate their love for generations to come. More than 22,000 artisans worked for 22 years to complete the 3 buildings in the complex. It is truly a stunning masterpiece. Unfortunately, the day we visited was very foggy so our pictures don't do it justice.
